Sherry’s Sunday Roast
Ingredients
4 lb Chuck Roast
1/4 cup flour
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
2 Tablespoons Oil
1 large onion in eighths
2 tablespoons beef base
3 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
4 teaspoons minced garlic
Instructions
Coat the roast with flour, salt, pepper, and oil.
Brown in the skillet. Keep the drippings!
In a slow cooker, combine the roast, onion, beef base, mustard , Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and drippings.
Fill with water until roast is covered.
Add seasoning to taste (we use Shoups).
Cook on High for 2-3 hours the reduce to Low for 2-4 hours.
