Rum Cake to Die For

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix

  • 1 small package vanilla pudding

  • 1/2 cup light rum

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup oil

  • 4 eggs

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 2 oz rum

Instructions

  1. Combine cake and pudding mixes.

  2. Add rum and oil.

  3. Add eggs, beating well and often.

  4. Add mixture to cake pan and bake.

  5. To make the glaze, perform the following:

    1. Boil sugar and water for 1 min.

    2. Add butter and melt.

    3. Add rum

  6. Remove cake from pan and poke holes in the top.

  7. While still warm, put the hot rum glaze over the cake.

Notes

  • You can substitute devil’s food cake mix, chocolate pudding, and some chocolate chips.

  • You can substitute Kahlua for the rum.
