Jan’s Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 1/3 cup shortening (can use butter-flavored Crisco)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 egg

  • 5 Tbsp cold water

  • 2 tsp vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut shortening into flour and salt.

  2. Beat egg with a fork, add water, vinegar and add flour mixture.

  3. Form into a ball. Do not over mix.

  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Makes 1 double and a single crust.
