Janny’s Ginger Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup Molasses

  • 2 cup flour

  • 1½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp. ground Ginger

  • 1/4 tsp ground Cloves

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and egg.

  3. Add molasses.

  4. In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, slat, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

  5. Combine all and cover dough then chill at least 30 minutes or overnight

  6. Roll balls in sugar and and place 12 cookies on a lined cookie sheet

  7. Bake for 15 min until edges are light.
